The original OWLS' CASTLE which was remade by Shinoda in 1999 is an excellent film with the same basic story from the Shiba Ryutaro novel.
After his ninja clan is destroyed by Oda Nobunaga, the survivors plot to take revenge on Oda's successor, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the most powerful man in the nation, and Oda's right hand man.
