CRIMSON BAT 1: Crimson Bat: The Blind Swordswoman.
A young girl named "Oichi" is abandoned by her mother. Blinded by a lightning strike she is taken in by a caring elderly gentleman. When her guardian is killed, she learns to wield a sword from a traveling "Ronin" who may or may not be involved with her guardian’s death.
As she develops into a master swordsman, her profession becomes that of a bounty hunter. Many test her sword and many die by her skills. She travels throughout the countryside to seek her mother and her revenge.
CRIMSON BAT 2: Trapped, The Crimson Bat
In this second installment of the Crimson Bat saga, Oichi has taken to the life of a bounty hunter, pursuing a whip-weilding villainess who also uses poisonous snakes for weapons.
At one point Oichi nearly retires from her wandering life to find
happiness in domesticity, but that can't last..
CRIMSON BAT 3: Watch Out Crimson Bat
Oichi is hired to carry an important scroll of unknown contents to a local scientist. On the journey she helps a pair of homeless teenage siblings and is challenged by numerous samurai who try to take the scroll from her.
It is eventually learned that the scroll contains a formula for powerful gunpowder for making bombs. The local yakuza boss is forcing the men of the town to work in the gunpowder factory at their own peril in which many are hurt or killed daily.
A wicked government general has sent an army to attain the scroll against Japan's 13 year old emperor's wishes; that the bomb not to be used as a military weapon.
CRIMSON BAT 4: Wanted Dead or Alive
It’s cross and double cross as bounty hunter Oichi, the Crimson Bat finds a price on her head after she defies a local government official! She’s not only has to cross swords with some of Japan’s most evil villians, but must also contend with the brilliant swordsplay of the great Tanba Tetsuro.
