KUMOKIRI NIZAEMON is one of his most ambitious films, spanning over 10 years and with a complicated plot involving more then a dozen speaking roles it weaves a web of passionate love and spiteful vengenance.
The story involves a former Samurai who abandons his lord to become a leader of a gang of bandits. He then leads his outlaws in an attempt to rob the castle of his former clan to avenge the destruction of his own family by the lord whom they had served.
